July 2026 - Our New Boardwalk is Complete! 🎉

In 2025, Desborough Pocket Park was fortunate to receive funding from the Lottery Community Fund to create a new boardwalk. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the project has now been completed!

This has been a long journey, with the planning, design, wildlife considerations and approval process taking much longer than anticipated, but the end result has certainly been worth the wait.

A huge thank you goes to our dedicated committee members for all the hard work, commitment and countless hours they have invested in bringing this project to life. Your determination has made this fantastic addition to the park possible.

We would also like to thank North Northamptonshire Council for their support and guidance throughout the approval process, and to A&C Carpentry Ltd, who have done an outstanding job constructing the boardwalk. The quality of their workmanship is exceptional, and we’re delighted with the finished result.

To help protect this investment for the community, we are also pleased to announce that discreet CCTV has been installed in the area to monitor the boardwalk and help keep it safe.
